Okay, today's post will be on online scamming and I know this is random but I think I was just caught in the midst of one not too long ago. Here's how the story goes:
I confirmed a size S bralet with this instashop seller and made payment on the day itself (20jan), thinking that she was rather prompt and nice with her replies when I enquired about the item.
But, I was wrong.
I expected her to mail out my item the next day but when I asked, she said she'll mail out within the week because the item was at her other house.
So, being in the same situation (where I lived at 2 different places), I told her I understand and I'll wait.
However, on 28jan, there was still no news, so I texted her and she said she's really sorry and will mail out the next day.
On 29jan, when i texted her 3 times (7pm, 9.30pm, 10pm) saying that I'm getting suspicious, she replied that she's busy with her work but she has bought stamps and mailers, and that she will head to the PO box in the afternoon at around 1pm tomorrow to mail it.
She even told me not to feel suspicious but I think she was just trying to act nice and buy more time for herself.
Yet, I trusted her again (3rd time trusting her already).
On 30jan, there was no news from her again although she said she will mail the item out at 1pm, so i texted her at 4.30pm and she replied an hour later that she's having training and proof of the parcel will be given to me in awhile.
However, by 11.30pm, there was still no proof at all that she mailed my item, so i spammed her with 8 texts saying that I want a refund and if she don't refund me, I'll make a police report.
All in all, she promised me 4 times that she'll mail out my item but she never kept her word.
Today, she finally refunded me and from her texts, she doesn't seem to care at all, like she still can reply me with smiley faces?
Gosh, what's wrong with irresponsible sellers/buyers nowadays.
As an online seller myself, I feel that these kind of sellers really deserve to be shot.
I mean, they are ruining the reputation of all online sellers and this is the first time I even encoutered such a situation from my 4 years in the online shopping industry.
Sometimes it's not just about the money, but also about how my trust got cheated.
So, I urge everyone to be careful when doing online shopping because really, there're just too many sellers/buyers whom we cannot trust, even if they may seem nice at first because you can't tell what's on a person's mind.
Decided to be nice and not blacklist that instashop since she refunded me, but anyone who's interested to know which instashop it is, feel free to ask me.
P.S. I still think it's kind of stupid to try to scam others just for $10 lol.
P.P.S I can be a very nice seller/buyer but don't mess with me.
Love, Grace.
